Hi Everyone ,it has been quite some time since i last posted (allthough i do lurk from time to time ) my name is Sue ,i have a westie x Lhasa Apso called Lola , she is almost three ,i also  found a wonderful young pooch called Max ,from a lady who was a regular here called Gwen ,Max is an American cocker ,,,very handsome (& knows it ) & totally spoilt , Both he & Lola are best friends ,,,i am hoping Gwen is still a regular here as i am looking for another pooch for my friend (in fact they are my youngest daughters boyfriends parents !!!!!!!(sorry to be so long winded !) they  now  feel the time is right  to have another dog & have been looking for a while ,,,they want to rescue ! but i remembered Gwen & she was amazing when i was looking for a dog for my Mother in Law .when she lost my father in law ,& not long after her Rodesian Ridgeback ,i know that it  is always taboo to look for a dog at Christmas time ,but it has just turned out this way as they have been looking for a while now ,My Daughters boyfriend is a Marine Commando (just back from Iraq  ),so he only gets home on leave ) but he has 19 year old twin brothere & a sister aged 12 years old  as well as Mum & Dad ,they live in a lovely little village in Hampshire surrounded by lot's of beautiful country side ,so hopefully they can find a four legged friend to share this all with ,they are avid animal lovers & just want to share their home & their lives with a pooch of some flavour or another (can anyone help ? does anyone know of any pups (or a little older)  anywhere, that want a new & very happy home? & if you   are out there Gwen ,it would be lovely to hear from you Re:confused gards Sue T

Hi Lea ,thanks so much for the quick reply ,thats so good to hear that Gwen is still here she was amazing ,actually so was another lady (menopausal brain !can't remember her name ! but her husband bought Max down to me here ,they were in the north & i live in the south east ,but the ladys husband was working just a few miles from me so bought him down to us , thats why i came back here ,not just because Max has been such a beautiful little guy ,but that everyone was such a help ,i am keeping my fingers crossed ,they are a great family & it will be such a great home for some lucky little pooch ,,,,once again many thanks ,,,& if anyone elsae has any ideas ..i would be so grateful Regards Sue T xx

Hi Lea .yes he is black (jet black) such a beautiful little poser ,quite the dog about town ,that & my Italian mother in law ( i believe the Italians invented the posing (they call it Passigiata !..) & Max ...now being a Bi Lingual dog (lol) does it beautifully ! it is always a gamble when you rescue a dog ,,but we were so lucky with Gwen ,i dont think there can be much Gwen does not know about dogs !  as much as i love Lola (& i do !)she is one of these hibrids  &  a real Diva  ! neurotic ,terrified of fireworks ,hates cats chases & grumbles at everything ,itches for england ,,,allergies galore ...i wish these designer breeders would think of the dogs when they put all  those called breeds together ,,,my niece asked my sister for a dog for her birthday ,i was amazed as they are not particularly doggy people ...when my niece showed me a picture on her mobile phone of the puppy she had been to see ,,,i went mad ,it is a yorkie x chuiaha(sp) it is the size of a VERY small kitten ..& the price tag was (wait for it !) £ 800  i told here to log on here & ask you all your opinion !( i remember asking about Labradoodles once !) i only ever asked once !!!!!!! still i suppose while there are idiots out there to pay these silly prices for what amounts to a cross breed ,,there will be people (note i did not call them breeders !) who will accomadate ! oh well lecture over ..(sorry ) but once again many thanks ...& also if there are any of you who know of any rescues that need homes ,,i would love to hear from you Regards Sue T xx

Hello Sue i often think of Max, it was my husband who brought him to you was it reading? i forget now seems an age since then!! I remember getting Max from Blackpool and waving my husband off with him haha....

Hi Sarah ,how wonderful to hear from you ,i still think of you often ,what an amazing couple you are ,you didn't know me from Adam ,yet you (somehow ...lol) got your poor husband to bring a strange dog all this way to meet an even stranger women in a car park in the south of England all the way from Blackpool! all those dreadful stories of dogs being dropped off on motorways etc ,,,yet  there we all were , our own little contacts ,trying to find an allready much loved pooch another home ,,,& we did ,,,& very happy he is too ,,,,you don't know how hard it was to hand him over though ! i still have a VERY special bond with him ,,we all do ...once again ,many thanks for making it all possible .to your husband too ,& of course Gwen ,,,well let's face it ,,without her there would have been no Max ,,,what a horrible thought ,Take Care love Sue xx
