Whist at LKA today with my puppy, my 10 year old boy decided to "do a runner" from his dog walker!!! Apparently he caught scent of something and just disappeared. Luckily for me I didn't pick up my phone messages until after he was found because I would have been a complete wreck trying to drive home!!
What amazed me was that after 2 hours missing, he managed to find his way home!!!! Bearing in mind he is always driven to his regular walk area ( its about 2 - 3 miles away) and that there were several roads to cross as well as a railway line!!!:eek: He then even scaled my 6ft gate to get into the garden!!!!
What might/could of happened doesdn't even bear thinking about!! I am just soooo glad to have him curled up on my sofa tonight, dreaming of chasing something!!!!:rolleyes:

Yikes, best you didn't know!  Thank God he's home safely and seemingly none the worse.  My greatest dread is any of my dogs going missing - I think it's the thought of not knowing what could have or has happened :(

Glad it had a happy ending!  (Hope you enjoyed the show too :) )

I know how you feel ottoman having experienced something similar last Sunday.  Its a timely reminder that a 6' fence is no barrier to many dogs.

Glad it all ended happily.
