Had to go back to the doctors tonight as my infection is back.  This will be my 5th lot of antibiotics in as many weeks and it is really getting me down and the pills don't make me feel very well.

I am back to the hospital for my 6 week check on Wednesday so lets they hope they can sort it out

That really is tough.....Do they test to know that you are getting the correct antiboitic?
Good luck for Wednesday.

Yes.  Have had a few cultures done and apparently I have two different sorts of infections which they have tried to treat.  Don't know if they have both come back or just one!!

Oooh blimey that is not good :(

Just a thought did you have the dissolvable stitches inside and out ?

They can sometimes cause problems and this maybe a factor ? I know my CS scar was alway infected for about 18 months afterwards as the threads of stitches kept on being expelled from my tummy

Hope it gets sorted soon as know how horrible you must be feeling :(

Thanks Lucy.   The stitches are dissolvable so that might be the reason why.

How are you doing?  Hope you are feeling ok.

I am fine thanks Mel :)

I emailed my Consultant on Friday and asked him if I was ok to start swimming and he has said yes :cool: Not bad three weeks after the OP

Luckily all my wounds have now healed up as went to have my external dissolvable stitches taken out :)

I am sure you will be abck to normal very soon ! :)

I hope so.  I am getting very bored now.  The antibiotics are doing me in though and making me feel rough.  Fell asleep on the sofa at 8pm.  How is that for an exciting Saturday night!!!!!

Oops sorry.  Glad you are doing so well.  Enjoy the swimming

Have you been drinking some probiotic yogurt drinks as I bet you could do with a boost as you have had so many AB's ? :)

Also try some Echinacea as well as that helps boost the immune system :)

It won't be long until you will be back to normal and partying on a Saturday night :D

Not certain if you can have it but.....Hairy Lemon is my most favourite 'pick me up'.
yes it's for real, an effervescent thing from Boots.
Fantastic.....Does turn the colour of your wee a bit.
