it depends on whos doing and reading the result in house in vets, i send mine away to idxx they have been spot on with the result

I had 5 done on my bitch (2 years ago) and she missed BUT a lot of people on here have had success with it.

We've had premates done on 3 different dogs without success, started early too, so no chance of reading the signs wrong.  Our last girl was tested and we were told to retest in 24 hours, although I knew she was ready, we took her to stud that same day with a successful mating (just the one) with an hour tie and had 8 pups.

You hear many different stories, some successful some not. :confused:

You would be better asking for a test to find out the progesterone level, when its around 30 the bitch is ovulating. Normal reading is 0.6 I think.

this is what idxx test for.

larry robert is very good told me all about gollie tests two year ago and stated what to do as well we got 5 puppies gollie going to have her blood taken poss tuesday to see when she be realy agian last time 14 to 16 day of season
on tuesday it be her 12 day will have result of the phone bye wedsnday lunch time

I have used it for all my matings with 100% success.
