Instead of buying something for a few people who I havnt a clue what to get them, I want to donate money to help an animal, Ie Adopt a Cat, or dog or horse etc, but have something I can give to the people. Ie a carsd saying you have donated money for the upkeep of so and so,
Does anyone know of any charities that do that???

Think the Dogs Trust do and maybe Cat Protection League This is one I've given as presents a lot http://www.cavyrescue.co.uk/sponsor-a-rat.shtml

You get a newsletter keyring and A4 size poster of your adoptee

Oooooh yes Sam :D
Much as I would like to 'adopt'a RAT for one of my brothers I think that would go down like a lead balloon with him and his very odd wife!!!!!
Looking towards a Tiger and a Lion for each Brother!!!

If I can make a suggestion? Ask the people concerned what charity they want you to donate to before doing it? The reason is, my brother in law insists on giving to a charity every year and then we get a card saying 'You have bought a **** for ****' ...the only thing is, I would MUCH rather he gave the money to a charity of our choice as it is a Christmas present for us....otherwise it is a gift for him as it is a charity of his choice.

I support Cancer research ...and this year I have emailed him and asked that he gives to them rather than the one he usually donates to

Please don't take this the wrong way , just a suggestion from someone on the receiving in :P

Definitely agree, Mel :) I'd rather that the person just said that they weren't giving presents, than give me a present of a donation to a charity not of my choice

I make donations to charities of my choice when I choose to do it - I don't really need other people to do it for me ;)
