Born in Dublin to my irish mother who was unmarried when she had me to my irish father, however she married an English man was I was 3 1/2 he went on to legally adopt me (worse luck) lived here all my life expect back in dublin for 2 years when I was 11.
So do I press English? When I applied for my passport when I was 18 it was a british one.

I'm British. I have English, Scottish and Irish ancestry - but I was born in Gibraltar. :)

I can't vote and neither can I see the results too. Same as the last poll :-(

Are you English Christine? I am and it won't take my vote either which might explain why the 'others' are leading.

:D

English and can't vote too!

Born in London, living in Bristol of Polish father and Scots x Polish mother.

Born in Sweden to Swedish parents, came to England when I was 22. Swedish citizenship.

Whoa...very British but none of the above!
Here in Guernsey we are not even part of Europe officially. My mother was born in Scotland so that gives me 'rights 'within Europe and my children too. However OH is Guernsey, of Guernsey and for a few generations back , so he has no rights, I believe this would be to do with abode, employment etc!

Going further back in family don't know about father's side, but granny's family on mother's side are all Scottish (Highlands), (grandfather on mother's side's family from Norfolk/Lancs) but granny & her brothers grew up in NI, then granny had one child in London, one in Belfast & one in Aberfeldy (Scotland) - she missed out Wales, really she needed to have four :D Anyone else's family done that?
