I passed the KC GC Bronze with my pup Rio last night, and when I came home and put the certificate into the binder where I keep all my GC certificates, I counted how many Bronzes I've done over the years. (With different dogs, of course.) 15. I was quite chuffed with that really. :) (Of course going back a good few years (my first was in 1995) there was only one GC test so it wasn't called the Bronze then, it was just the GC test -hence I've done more Bronzes than Silvers and Golds.)

Well Done Marianne   I've only ever passed one Good Citizen test (they weren't around in my obedience years)and that was back in the days when there only was one too. It was with a borzoi, I remember I hadn't actually taught him to down stay, just wrestled him to the ground and glared at him for the requird time, the poor soul lay on his back with his legs in the air until I tickled his tummy :D  Then I moved into ringcraft and now agility, can't help thinking though that all clubs should do the KC GC tests?

Well done to you and your pup, i too passed my pup on Tuesday, i have taken my boy through to Gold. Kara is just six months old now and seems to be enjoying the training.  My boy was 12 months when he passed his gold, clever boy.  I really enjoy the time working with them even when she doesn't want to play ball.

Well done yrlance -and 12 months for Gold is excellent. :D Simba my now very poorly Golden boy did his Gold at 11 months and that will be one of my most special memories of him -well already is, and still hoping for a miracle.

Well done Marianne - and the dogs of course :) :) :)

I don't think I've ever had a dog remotely obedient enough to try - do you get Certs for highest "High 5"  That and their names (75% of the time) is the extent of their education (the better ones that is!) ........  :D

:D @ Teri!!

Well done on those Bronzes Marianne. My most treasured Bronze was given to my first Terv when she was around 13 years young.
We didn't really train for it, just saw what was happening at the local show (we'd been on a walk nearby) and had a go.

The rosette is rather faded now but I treasure it beyond anything I've ever won :)

Well Teri the ONLY dog of mine that can do anything remotely resembling a high five is the Papillon (and that isn't a great one) so see, you've managed something I can't with my dogs!! :D

Well done Marianne and Rio. My first Bronze was with a middle aged terrier cross at the Dogs Trust. I was so happy he passed. not an easy boy! Milo's bronze and silver rosettes are tucked away in his file - after he had his photo taken while wearing them of course! I think we are taking the gold right after the holidays. gulp Guess that means he'll have to do homework during his Christmas holidays. :-D

Milo will do it Lori -it's in his breed's name to pass it. :D :D

I'm glad you're confident! I'm not. :-D I can just see a magpie landing next to him in the long down; or even better one of the horses will come over to the fence to watch the test. :-D

Well done on all your GC achievements. I did bronze with my GSP when he was 2 and was very proud of him (:D) but haven't managed to find a club to train so we can progress any further. I'm working up to being brave enough for the flat coat's bronze - he can do most of it, but I'm not quite sure about the controlled walk through people and dogs yet :D
