Installed IE7 yesterday and all seems to be working fine except when I try to delete temporary internet files and cookies.  This used to take a few seconds on IE6 but seems to run and run on IE7   If you hit cancel, it says it is cancelling but doesn't and I've had to hit Cntl/Alt/Delete just to get rid of it.  Very annoying as I used to tidy up like this every day, especially if I wanted to do credit card transactions.

Anyone else getting this problem?

No, but since I installed it I keep getting pop ups when i click onto a new web-page, bu don't get he automatic ones generated when you want to get one on the page your viewing.  his i despite my pop up blocker being switched on.

Installed it and 2 days later uninstalled it.  Computer was running slower than ever with EI7.

Sorry Annie_ns but we haven't had any problems at home or at work since it's been installed - I love it cos I have so many different sites open at once much easier to view them :)

But have you tried deleting your temporary internet files? :)

Sorry Annie_ns No! ;)  OH sorts that out - I'll have to ask him! :)

I've installed it, don't like it, too many pop ups every time I go to websites, even though I visit the same ones a number of times a day!  My once pretty fast pc is running much slower  and I want to un-install it!  I'm finding this a bit of a nuisance:mad:

Strangely I don't seem to be getting these popups!

I installed it and my hub didn't like it so I uninstalled it, back to IE6.

Think that is what I'm going to do - if you uninstall IE7, do you automatically get IE6 back?
- By ja.moss [gb] Date 30.11.06 19:19 UTC
Yes when I did mine it returned to IE6

Had no problems with it at all.  No popups and it seems to run as quickly as IE6, however I am running it on Vista so that could be a big difference.

I'm running it on XP (service pack 2) and have not had any problems.

I've uninstalled mine now and back to normal thank goodness! :D

I just got the download notice too and I do not like the appearance of the toolbars at the top at all.  I much prefer the old IE6 look.  But I went to a site to learn if there was a choice of view, and there does not seem to be.  Did learn though, that you should probably leave it at IE7 in order to get the enhanced security features.  Maybe I will try out Firefox.

I've got Firefox as well but am inclined to drift towards IE which seems quicker.  Must say Firefox does give the sharper image that IE7 provides.  I've backed out IE7 now and gone back to 6 as I didn't like not being able to clear down my temporary internet files/cookies. :(
