Hi All
long time since i've visited
Just to let u all know (if ur interested???)
my BC was born with an overshot mouth
when he was 4 months old the vet said the lower teeth needed to come out:eek:and they booked him in at 6 months old to have them removed::eek:
Good people with sound advice told me to wait as he will continue to grow til 2 years old
THANK YOU ALL:cool:
His mouth went right (still not completely 100% but good enough) he is now 13 months:cool:

Brilliant news.  Just goes to show that heads can take a long time to come.

Yes it was a registered vet hospital in Goodmayes (recently in the news and being taken to court for diagnosing another dog wrongly)
When my dogs milk teeth came out the new lower canine teeth grew into the top milk teeth canine holes, the vet said they had to come out because they would grow right through his nose!!!

I have recently heard that the lower jaw is the last part of the skeleton to stop growing at around 17 months old :)

Apparently that's why dogs can go undershot when maturing.

my boy was over shot, he has a perfect bite now   Bit scary about the vet though, I hope you have changed vets now
