For a female 'dainty' Rottie??????
Thought of
Heidi
Suesse (pronounced: zoo-sa; Meaning "Sweetie" like Cutie-Pie)

Ok this is thanks to a german pet name website.
Any other ideas?????
Lea :)

Well I now have the pics!!!!
Nothings signed until I meet her with the dogs and kids, and I suppose have a home check. But got my thinking cap on as it takes ages to choose names.
Beano was named by my son on the way home from Blackpool because he was reading the Beano!!!!!

I' m so jealous of you Lea.  I would love to have a rottie but work further away from home now than I did when I got missy so it wouldn't be fair on a wee pup.  I'm going to call my rottie oberon when I get him (king of the fairies for anyone not up on their shakespeare).  I like names that don't really fit with the stereotypes so a really girly name like lily or stella is nice for a big chunky dog like a rottie.  A girl I used to work with knew someone with a staffy called gadaffi which was bizarre but quite cool.  Can't wait to hear all about her.

We have a rottie puppy at my training club named Lily and she's HUGE. She's a big beefy girl and real sweetheart.

I know of a rottie called Mia & one called Tiegan
- By Lea Date 25.11.06 20:26 UTC
Ebba -Strength, return of the tide
Leyna- little angle (might be tempting fate!!!!LOL)
Millicent-industrious, strength(have thought about Millie already and of course would always be shortened!)
Olinda-protector of property (very apt for Rottie!!!)
Ula-sea jewel, inherited estate
Wanda-wanderer  (although would always think of a fish called Wanda!!!!! even tho it would be very apt as she was picked up as a stray!!!)
Zelma- (form of Selma)
Oooooooooooooooohhh aggggggghhhhhhhh how do I decide!!!!
Lea :)

Ebba is a nice name with a good meaning.
- By Lea Date 25.11.06 20:30 UTC
Yeah I like Ebba as well.
She is a 2 year old very thin Rottie that was picked up by a dog warden. So Ebba does have a good meaning.

A good strong name for what is hopefully going to be a good strong dog.

- By ChristineW Date 26.11.06 00:31 UTC
Amsel, it's German for blackbird.  After all she is black (Well with a few tan bits!) and she is a 'bird' (eg. female of the species!).  :D
- By munrogirl76 Date 26.11.06 00:51 UTC

Frauke = little lady
Friede or Elfi = elf strength (both are short for Elfriede
Irmtrud - wholly loved
Nadja = hope
Meike or Mitzi = beloved
Renate = reborn (I know, 3 syllables but a nice meaning for a rescue)
Senta = to spring up, grow, thrive
Tabea = gazelle
Ursel or Uschi = little she bear

It's so hard but so fun to pick a name.
- By Lea Date 26.11.06 17:13 UTC

oooh this is tough (especially as German can be quite a harsh language, I mean come on you want to be lovely dovey and you have to call your OH 'Shatze' ..German for Darling, doesnt have the same ring to it hehehehehehe)

I lijke your first choise Suesse
I like Lori's little 'she bear' too..

How about Gretel (Im thinking the Brothers Grimm Hansel&Gretel..they were German)
Leisle is nice (hmm think Ive spelt that wrong>> its pronounced 'Leee- sul')
or Blitzen!! (like the reindeer!! :D)
