In Dog world this week, a ban on Fur Trade was proposed by the European Commission on Monday. The EU Commissioner for Health and Consumer Protection states that they have been receiving strong public support and is confident that the European Parliament and the Council will ensure the adoption of a ban. Wonderful news, all due to people power.!!!

Sorry!!! Didn't realise that it had to spelt out that I mean dogs and cats.  Thought it more important that the cruel trade is in the process of being brought down in some 'small' way.

Thanks Isabel, never saw it I was just highly delighted that at last someone was doing something for these poor animals that are being skinned whilst (in many cases) they are still alive. Other animal fur that is used is often just a bi-product of the meat trade.

Always wondered about those ornamental cat 'toys' that look so real.  What fur do they use?  They look so real they give me the creeps.  Would never buy one of those.
