Fagan had his first agility competition yesterday, just a small one run by our club,  and guess what ........ he won one of his classes - the starters open jumping class -  he was such a good boy, wasnt as quick as the collies but was steady and listened to everything I said, he won a huge rosette and a special lead that says 2006 agility winner on it

He is such a good boy, shame about his owner,  the first class I took him into - open agility - I was concentrating so much on getting him round that I went completely the wrong way  what a muppet, and he was doing so well - didnt put a foot wrong   But hey ho, at least he won something :)

:-D  Naughty handler. *Must concentrate harder*

Well done to both of you, feels good doesn't it :-) may you soon have a wall full of rosettes.

Wow well done to you both. :)

It's lovely to hear about it when Irish Setters are successful at other things. Great news, you must be really proud.

ClaireyS - Well done to you and Fagan - my irish girl loved agility and at our club show she beat the collies - they are quick but can make mistakes!  She always went clear (aside from handler error like you!)  Slow and steady wins the race as they say!

although she did let me down just the once! I remember at an ABC (anything but a collie) class there was this really tricky combo and everyone was mucking up - we went clear and she promptly did a poo in the ring - a disqualification in agility! :(  I remember at my first open show (showing) when Max did a poo and I asked if it was a disqualification the other exhibitors thought I was crazy!

WELL DONE YOU AND KEEP AT IT - SUCH FUN - VERY ENVIOUS - THAT I CAN'T FIND A CLASS THAT HAS SPACES!!!

lol @ the poo

Agility is good fun, there are so many more younger people that do it than breed showing, we do have a laugh - usually at Fagan
