I might have to put my two into a kennel for one night.  I don't even know where to start looking for a good kennel.  No-one i know has kennelled their animals in my area so I can't get any recommendations.

I live in Bedfordshire, but would travel to get them into a good kennel.  Any one know where to start looking?

It's a difficult one. Don't live in your area I'm afraid so can't help personally, but I would ask your vets for details of all the local kennels and go round and visit them all. The other thing that might be worth doing is while you're at the vets, sit in the waiting room and ask people with dogs if they kennel them, where, and whether they think it's good. I would say personal recommendation (or otherwise ;) ) is usually the way to go.
