Does anyone know when the KC assess the '3 dogs per class' is it based on just breed or includes stakes classes. Also is it on dogs present or dogs entered. thanks

Is this regarding JW points? I don't know about stakes classes, but for the breed classes it has to be dogs actually present in the ring, not just entered.

Thanks JG. Its not for Jw its about the entries that open shows need to get to keep classes :)

It is the total entries made for the show divided by total number of classes - however I thought they now wanted an average of 4 a class for a society to hold 2 shows a year

Thanks. we only have 1 a year anyway.

This is why it is worth having lots of stakes classes that people can enter as they oost the overal entry.

I won't for example go to shows where I can only enter one class.

I've often wondered is it 3 entries or 3 actually turning up? And isn't there something where they lose classes for that breed if the entry is smaller than 3?

This is no longer I tught.  You just need 4 per a class to keep two shows and 5 per a class for afew continuous shows to aply for premiership status.

If your only running one year a show I wouldn't worry.
