My poor pup is really fed up - his teeth are bothering him :( He's chewing everything (especially the metal door thresholds!) He has a chilled chicken wing for breakfast and I've just given him a chilled carrot, which he loves. Reading through old posts I noticed that a lot of questions were asked around the 5 month mark (he's 5 months) is this the worst time for teething?
Thanks

Hi Sandra
My 7 month old Golden had teething problems at about 4-5 months (my last golden didn't have a problem with his teeth though) so I expect it depends on the individual dog!!
I used Chamomilla 3x drops by Weleda for him and it really helped - poor thing his gums used to bleed quite a lot too - but this seemed to help him! I was also told to put a tea towel in the freezer and let him chew on that when it was really cold - he seemed to enjoy that too!
Good luck :)
Maria
Hi Maria - thanks for that :)
He seemed a lot better last night, so maybe things are beginning to settle now. I have tried the frozen teatowel and ice cubes but he didn't seem interested. He chews his kong quite a lot so maybe that helps. I'll check out the drops if things continue to get worse.
Thanks again
Sandra :)

Hi Sandra
Glad he is a lot better now. I'm sure his kong does help him :)
Jasper used to be ok for a few days then it would start to bother him again. I think it was when each new tooth was being cut!
I seem to remember he used to mouth my arm more at this time too!
Maria :)

You could try using a stock to dip the towel into
Mine have got sore gums at the mo. Are there any other suggestions as to what you can try? i was actually going to start my own thread, but found this ine!

I use Bonjela for puppies that are teething hard.
