Topic Dog Boards / General / Nerves for tomorrow (Earls Court)
- By Jan Date 11.11.06 14:55 UTC
Kerry and I are competing in the semi-finals of the Special pre-beginner stakes tomorrow at Earls Court.  I am so excited that I've got butterflies in my tummy!  I just hope we can keep focused and not be overcome by nerves!  HELP!!!

You'll be fine, take loads of deep breaths & some rescue remedy if you have some

Best of luck

Walk in that ring full of confidence, your dog will pick up on it.

Good luck to you both.  Hope you get through to Crufts.

Go in with a swagger :D   After all - think of all the competition that you have swept away to get to this point!

Good luck

Rescue remedy is great and you can buy it in supermarkets now too ;)

Good Luck

How did it go? I watched the JW semi finals yesterday and it was very exciting! :-)

Hi Lucy
What was the outcome yesyerday?
- By LucyD [gb] Date 13.11.06 19:25 UTC
Well done Jan!!

Sorry can't remember all of the JW results except I was sad the Yankee didn't get picked! Both the springers were placed, the Roandews I guess they were as they were Daisy & Dez (they were only reading out the pet names of course!). Also a Beardie. Sorry!

The Obedience is today so probably still going on !

WE'RE THROUGH TO CRUFTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (and I meant to shout!!)

We got 4th in the ABCs, behind Becky Collier with her cocker, Shirley Reed with her goldie and Alison Williamson with her GSD.  Not sure what the collie order was - sorry.

I was so pleased with Kerry - I thought she wouldn't cope with the day but she was brilliant!  I am so proud because two years ago I didn't know where to turn with her and how to handle her.  She just loves obedience work.

Thanks for all your support!  Had half a bottle of rescue remedy!

Hi Michelle

According to my (rather difficult to read, photographed) score sheet Sue James came 2nd overall!  Couldn't be 100% sure that that is right, but I think so, and she was certainly up that end of the placings.
