Hi guys
I need to do a calculation in excel can anyone help.  I have a figure and in the spreed sheet i need to plus 17.5% to the figure but for some reason I cant do it properly can any one help?

Q2) I need to do the following equation can anyone advice how I would type that in excel

220 divide 30x100+17.5%

Hope someone can offer some advice?

In the cell write ' = (cell ref)+17.5 X cell ref /100   ...obviously write which cell it is where I have written 'cell ref' ;)

and for number 2:

=220/30X100+17.5X(220/30X100)/100

To add 17.5% just multiply times 1.175 =PRODUCT(cellref;1.175) or =cellref*1.175.

your second equation can also be entered as =220/30*100*1.175

similar to what Melodysk posted but using a different way to add the percentage
