Not good news. She had a follow-up blood taken after her 3 days on a drip, although her toxins came down quite well with that they've now increased back to higher than before - her creatine level before the drip was 500 (high end normal is 120), on tuesday it was 600. The vet's suggested doign an ultrasound and then maybe a biopsy, but I'm going to have her PTS tomorrow night.
Given that I'm moving 5 hours away on Saturday, I don't want her to have to go through an ultrasound, possible biopsy, long drive to a totally strange place and 3 days in a boarding cattery (and she's never been boarded) - and probably all in vain as her prognosis isn't good anyway. The toxins have risen despite her being on solely renal diet food - which she's barely eating. It's not that she doesn't want to - I had absolute hell yesterday trying to keep her away from my scone :D - but the food isn't tempting enough when she's already feeling nauseous. So I've got my last work placement day tomorrow, then a few hours with her at home before we take the trip.
