Hi
A few days ago I was sat in the lounge watching TV and most of the dogs were in the lounge with me. 2 of the monsters however had been put in the kitchen behind the baby gate as they were being a pain.
Anyway my oldest labrador who is 9 was in the lounge and is normally settled and quiet but she suddenly sat bolt upright and started to bark over and over and then started clawing at the door. As this was not normal I opened the door to see where she wanted to go and was greeted by smoke!!!
The naughty ones in the kitchen had jumped up and knocked 3 rings of the hob on. This wouldn't have been such a problem if I hadn't left a washing basket full of washing on the top. The washing basket has a massive hole in it and the clothes that were on the bottom are singed (sp).
Thank god for Beth if she hadn't reacted I don't think we would now have a kitchen!!!
Anyway I'm sure there must be something like a hob guard to protect against this with children................or are they safer than bloody dogs.
If there is such a thing what are they called and where am I likely to get one? I would say it won't happen again but the 2 labs in question are very naughty.
