If you do a seacrh you'll find many threads on here about insurance. I'm with M&S and have always found them to be prompt, no hassle payers

Hi

Excellent no problems at all. I had my vet send it direct and they paid the vet direct, then sent me a letter to say it was all sorted. I also got a letter from them saying sorry my dog had died when they recieved the claim from the vet.

Mine was a straight forward claim though

I put in a claim in August for treatment for a throat infection (£227 ).  A week or so later I received a leter acknowledging receipt of claim.  A couple of weeks after that I received a letter apologising for the delay but that they had to seek further information from my vet.  Cheque arrived for the full amount about 7 weeks after I had submitted the form to the vet.  I don't know how long it took my vet to respond to the request for additional information to the delay might have been caused by a slow response.

Some people will probably say 7 weeks is too long but, to be honest, i was happy in how the claim was handled and that they paid every penny and I don't feel that time taken was excessive at all.  I've just submitted another claim for the same dog so I hope it goes as smoothly (about £500 this time )

ive put in a couple over the past couple of months, they usually take about 4 weeks for the money to come through, never had any problems with them not paying.

i've claimed only once before, and they were great. The vet took a little while sending the claim form, but when i rang M&S to make sure they had the claim, they told me it'd be dealt with by X date. I rang a week after X date to see if everything was ok, and sure enough, the claim had been dealt with on the said day, and the cheque had been issued! Took about 3 weeks from them getting the claim to paying out. Pretty quick i think.

In the last year i have claimed about £5000 (thank god he was insured ) had no problems at all and all balances were cleared either straight to me or straight to the vet within 3-4 weeks maximum!
