For the vet to ring.  Shady my 16month old Rottie x GSD went in to have her back legs x-rayed today as since that other vets stretched her back legs out while she was tense and resiting causing them to click and her yelp, they have clicked as she walks and she has been looking stiff and a little uncomfortable for a few steps after getting up from a sleep.
She was fine up till that point so whether they done something or it was just coincidence I don't know, just praying its something not serious or degenerative and there is noway you can keep her calm and just walk her on a lead.  Tried that and she spent ages wheel spinning round the garden in tight circles (garden is small) back legs slipping and sliding in all directions to get her excess energy out.
Please keep everything crossed for her and send her positive thoughts.

Had a text from vets saying Shady was recovering fine from her anesthetic and to ring for an appointment to collect her.
Rang and the receptionist said orthapedic vet wanted me to have an appointment to collect her with him at 4.50 this afternoon as he needs to see me. She couldn't tell me anymore.
So I suppose this means he has found something. OMG I am so worried and nervous now please let my girly be ok.

Don't assume he's found something wrong. It's good practice to actually talk through the results with the owner to make sure everything's understood. :)

Bev - i've got my fingers crossed for you - the vet will no doubt want to explain the xrays to you.

Hi Bev,  Really pleased to hear it was good news.  :)  Wouldn't you think though that someone at the vets would have realised you would be climbing the walls when asked to see the vet and have the sense to pass on a brief 'nothing to worry about' over the phone first to save you all the angst? :rolleyes:

The person making the phonecall might not be qualified to understand the vet's notes. ;) As a lowly receptionist I'm not allowed to advise like that.

Wasn't expecting the caller to understand the notes or explain them to the client JG, more that I would have thought the vet should perhaps have thought to ask whoever was phoning to include a brief word of reassurance so the client didn't worry unnecessarily.
