I have been looking for a picture of a yellow FCR. QUITE happy with my black one, I'm just curious to see what they look like, and have failed to find a picture.

not sure if these are flatcoats (yellow) but the dark ones are :)

Yep, black and liver are the only acceptable colours in the show ring. I just wondered what the yellows look like.
I seem to remember reading that originally flat coats and goldens came from a single bitch that I now forget the name of, who produced both dark & light coloured puppies, and from there the breeds were selectively bred for/ created over time. I imagine that because the yellow colouration is recessive this would mean that goldens would NEVER turn up in a colour other than cream or golden? Sorry, I'm sidetracking my thread into a genetics discussion!

Hmm, I wonder if that's what I saw at the weekend. I certainly saw a black FCR, but then saw something that looked very similar but yellow - it could have been a skinny Goldie, I didn't get a very good view. I never knew they came in yellow! :-)

Perhaps a blond Hovawart?

Gosh, now you're really confusing me - I have heard of the breed, but have very little idea what one looks like without looking them up!!

Here's a couple of pages from the same website.

If you log on to the second one, they put a new picture on every day.  They have two black and the younger yellow Flat.
