I am sitting here waiting for the hospital to ring to tell me they have a bed so I can go in and have my hysterectomy. I am all packed and the kids are organised for the next couple of days so I hope they don't cancel.

They postponed it from last week to this.  I hate waiting

The waiting is the worst part, once you get there it's never nearly as bad as you think it's going to be.  Hope it all goes well :)

Oh I hope they phone soon. Waiting must be very difficult when they have let you down before. Crossing fingers and paws for you.

I hope they don't cancel it again. Hope it all goes well :)

I have just found out I am going to have to have a Hysterectomy done on the 10th November. Are you having just the womb removed ?

Best of luck :)

Hope all goes well for you......... My op was cancelled in July and I was on the trolley waiting to go, full of pre med and surgical stockings in place !!!! (to stop DVT as it was a long op).......
I was inconsolable..... Luckily I was rescheduled for the following week..........
Will be thinking of you and sending positive and healing thoughts.........

That is good news.   Now please, do take it easy, pace yourself gently - don't try to be the hero and do everything now - take things slowly - and you'll be bouncing around by Christmas!

I am glad you are getting better !

I am starting to get a little nervous about my Op on Friday. I am also not looking forward to having to get up at the crack of sparrows to be at the hospital by 7.30am  :D

Glad to hear that you are feeling a little better....... just take it easy.......
I know how boring it is, as I had major surgery in July and no-one will give me a date to return to work yet and I am tearing my hair out with boredom........ there is only so much daytime TV a person can stand !!!! :p

Lucy you will be fine........ you will be looked after and then you will be home and join the ranks of the very bored recuperating patients !!!!!!!! :D

Lucy good luck.  I am sure you will be fine.  I can't believe that I had my op 2 weeks ago on Thursday.  Although I am bored time seems to be going quickly in some ways.

Take it easy once you get out and good luck for Friday.  I will be thinking of you
