Hi
Can anyone recommend log cabins/lodges in Scotland where dogs are allowed. Thinking about going away for a few days over xmas.
Thanks Sharon

British hotels and guest houses where pets are welcome This site has a search facility.
Welcome cottages some accept pets
Hoseasons many accept pets

These are just sites I've bookmarked myself in case I'd ever need them.

Lovely place, nice chalets, up to two dogs allowed.

Altamount chalets in Blairgowrie allow dogs.  You are about 40 minutes from Glenshee if you fancy some ski-ing.  But are close to the countryside & walks too.  Perth & Dundee etc.

Riverside cabins near Comrie (I have no idea if they accept dogs though.   There's also Huntingtower Lodges close to Perth too.

This lists several.

Very envious - would just LOVE to do this - one day we will!

Nice walks and cosy evening by the fire - LOVELY! :)

Hope you find somewhere.

What about this :-) http://www.highlandheatherlodges.co.uk/lodges.cfm

I had a look at a few recently on some of the sites and you have to be very careful about the word luxury ;-)

Would you take dogs to these ??? :D :D :D I can just see my muddy two in there - I'd be washing the floor (and walls/furniture) all day - no holiday :D :D

Nothing a dip in the hot tub wouldn't sort out Daisy ;-) :-D can you imagine the dogs jumping in and out of it.

If anyone finds luxury log cabins post the link .I know I am a fussy Moo.. :-) born in Canada have been spoiled with "real log" cabins and luxury finishings.

There is bound to me some in Scotland.

Oooh, I'm with you Blue :D I really like the look of those :) Do they really allow dogs though (can't see it anywhere on the site)??

It's not a log cabin but it is a 5 star resort - Turnberry takes dogs. Even puppies for no extra charge. They're right on the beach and woodland walks are nearby. Plus you can go to the spa and get pampered. :-D

Tralee Bay in Benderloch, nr Oban is a brilliant place to visit http://www.tralee.com

We have taken all 3 of ours there for the first week in Spetember for the last 2 years, its right next to the beach and there are plenty of fantastic woodland walks near by.

It looks gorgeous covered with a blanket of snow, I'd love to go during Xmas.

Hope you have a good time, wherever you go :)

Thanks all. Have shown them to Em & she likes the look of the altamount chalets. They all look great though. Gives us even more choice for next year! Just need to check with the humes ( husband & daughter) that they like it too! If they don't guess its me & the dog lol.
Some of them look a bit too lovely for my mucky pup- would spend the break cleaning!!

Killin Highland Lodges (at Killin!) 08456 444 866 accept dogs. Didn't end up there in the end, ended up in B&B over a pub (:D). Lovely scenery, and lots of Munroes to climb :)
