Someone on another site is asking about ultrasound scanners in th Sheffield/ South Yorkshire area. Google's letting me down - can anyone help?

Does anyone know of a scanner in North Yorkshire / Scarborough i would like to know how many at 8 weeks. My vets are not very good with numbers. thank you.

Most vets won't say how many puppies are there just in case they are wrong. We are now in a world where if something is wrong we sue, & there are vets out there who have been sued for this very reason.

My vet said definately 5 possibly 6 she had 7

Exactly my point. Some people after the 6th pup was born, might leave the bitch then when they come back, the bitch has had another pup which may or may not be alive.
If the pup is dead, then the vet gets the blame & then is reported. I have seen it done so many times.

I don't leave my bitches for at least 24 hours after they have whelped to be on the safe side but I do get her checked out if I think she has finished.

This was my first litter and that is what happened to me after the 6th pup she went outside had a meal fed the pups and went to sleep so 2 hours later I went out and came back and there was number 7 (thankfully alive).

My vet has one at their main surgery in Barnsley, if that is any help.
