Made ours with melamine sides and varnished wooden bottom. All the sides slide out and it can be packed away for future use.

Mine for deerhounds is 5' x 5' x 4' and was home made. Its made of wood and the sides are screwed together with butterfly nuts which allows both flat storage and thorough cleaning. It has a ramp at the front which can be let down, and slots at the front where various heights of puppy (and bedding) retaining boards acn be slipped in. It is painted with ships' varnish which gives a good waterproof and easy to clean surface.

When we originally made it we wondered if we might possibly have a litter of IWs in the future as we always have one or two IWs. In the event we never did breed an IW litter but the size of the box would have been big enough if we had.

Mine is made from Conti Boards, which is easily cleaned & was cheap too. It is a 6' x 4'
