HI there- one of my girls who was on her 2nd season had it 4 months after her last and then when it happened, it all began as normal but then just as it was about to go inot the 2nd stage of when she would be fertile etc everything stopped. even our male dog stopped sniffing and the swellling went down etc That was 6 weeks ago and she isn't secretly pregnant!
wondered if nayone had experience of something similar and wondered when i might expect her next one! obvioulsy I'll continue to keep an eye out anyway- it wasn't at all an odd discharge or anything- normal as in season- obvioulsy was checking for things like pyometra etc too.
after her previous season, she had a mesailn injection ( in case she had been caught on her first season after a dog got through 2 locked doors, a dog cage and a locked room )and  although was never told it could affect her cycle i have since been told by someone that they know of someone whose bitch's cycle took 2 years to settle down after hvaing a mesalin injection.any ideas? whether it could be to do with this or regarding any other people have had a bitch with this sort of half hearted season!! thanks
