We've had the most lovely weekend - on Saturday morning we flew to Marseille to choose our new French puppy - she's going to be called Bijou and she is just GORGEOUS !!!. The breeders were so very kind and had arranged a big get together with loads of other French BSD owners/breeders where much wine was drunk and delicious food eaten.:D :D - there were also folk from Italy and Spain and it was just amazing that a shared passion can transcend any language barrier !.
We felt very sad having to hand her over to her foster family in Normandy for the 6 months wait after her rabies shot but we have already had some photos sent showing her mixing with the rest of his dogs and asleep under his kitchen table so I feel this is definitely better for her than spending the time in quarantine here in England.

I'm now completely SHATTERED and having an early night

At least with the change in quarantine rules she can live a normal life for six months.

When my sister used to import her Terv's they were stuck in kennels over here for that time.

Sounds great and I'm so happy it looks like your foster family are taking good care of your girl. A hard decision to make but I'm glad you feel you went with the right one. I'd much rather play in the countryside of Normandy with doggy friends than sit in a kennel! Lucky girl is going to miss the worst of our winter and bask in some sunshine.

Now you only have to count the days til your baby comes home!
