We have just found out tonight that our eleven-year old little Bichon/Westie cross has Cushing's Disease.
Without treatment, he is not likely to live much beyond two more years. There is a medical treatment, Veteryl, which can extend life beyond that, but it is likely to be prohibitively expensive. I also fear that all it will do is extend his life into an age where other problems will diminish his
quality of life anyway.
If anyone has experience of living with a dog with Cushing's Disease, I'd very much appreciate any advice, tips or guidance they could offer me. This is very much unchartered territory for us.
Many thanks
