Hi,
I have a litter that are now 5 days old and the dog is leaking milk through his nose after he has been fed, up 2 30 mins after.  i have taken him 2 vets and 3 vets checked him out and have said it is defo not a cleft palate (SP), just wondering if anybody has experienced this b4?  the vet has given me amoxycillin 4 him.

thanks.

It might be Mega Oesophagus. :(

How carefully did they check? A cleft palate can be like a tiny pinprick hole.

they gave him a good check over.  he is putting on plenty of weight, was 7oz born and is now 11.8oz.

had him bk 2 vets this morning to be told that milk has been going to his lungs, he mite die.  i have weighed him again this morning and he is 12.7oz, not far off double his birth weight, so he is putting on weight fine, he seems content 2.  his nose seems to be snotty now and a bit sore, some1 has suggested tube feeding, any thoughts?
thanku.

Mega Oesophagus tends to show itself a week or so later and sometimes not till weaning. Mention it to the vet although I would imagine they may have thought about this.
