Topic Dog Boards / Showing / Berkeley Exemption!

We went to Berkeley agricultural show today, took dogs with us. I wasn't going to enter the dog show as Juno is too young and I thought Ebony (black lab) being 10 wouldn't hack the competion... but once there changed my mind and entered her.

My daughter (10) took her into 3 classes: best Veteran, (came 4th out of 6 dogs)D Best junior handler, (last but hey-ho), and then Dog with prettiest eyes... there were 20 in this class and when the judge pointed to Ebony and my daughter I looked at my hubby and said, "She never won did she?" he said, "looks like it!" .....and I bust into tears! :o :D :o :p

My old gal, bless her. I love her to bits and was so proud.

I entered my liver flatcoat (6 months old) into most appealing eyes got 2nd and 2nd for dog judge would most like to take home and my 10 year old won junior handler at game fair on Sunday. Real fun, still pondering on proper showing though.

I'm going to have a try at proper showing, you are surrounded by doggy people and can talk dogs and no one minds! :D
