Just wondering - are iron tablets/folic acid made for humans compatible with dogs?  Thanks

Why would you give iron tablets/folic acid to a dog?

I haven't given them to him - he has taken them himself!  I am seeing no ill effects and just wondering if I should be worried.  I think he has eaten about 5 from the chewed packet that I found.

I was wondering if that was what you meant.  I would check with a vet.  One of my friend's dogs ate a load of iron tablets stolen from on a table but threw the lot up immediately.  Not sure what the effects would be if they stay down.

Call the vets -an overdose of iron is toxic!

Everything OK! Forensics were on the crime scene and he was spotted playing shove ha'penny with them under the table.  Thank you for your help, all cupboards now dog-safe.  I thought all this ended when your kids grew up!
