I remember once someone talked about sucking spiders up and leaving the end of the nozzle in a glass so that a spider couldnt come back out and then someone else said they werent worried about the spider coming back out because they saw the effect of a dyson and a spider...well since then Ive wondered what actually happens. It got me thinking because I sucked a moth up last night and imagined body parts in the dyson?!?

The other week sucked up a spider in Henry - then had to change the bag cos it had got blocked - well I had to pull some bits out the pipe by the bag and who came crawling out - yes Mr Spider - all in one piece - so having survived that decided to give him a second chance and out the front door he went! (having caught him in a plastic cup first)

although moths may not be as resilient I guess!  nor DLL!

Ah, poor spidders - I don't really like them but have to admit I would rather them in my house than daddy long legs which have recently invaded my house - still I would rather the OH catch them and release them than kill then - I couldn't step on an ant tho me LOL!

Not sure what happens in a dyson, I should imagine that if the cylinder was empty tho you would get a clear view of what happens to little Spike the Spider :D

Tracey, that was me :D  The first time I sucked a big spider into the Dyson I had to wipe it out of the container because it must have smashed into the plastic bottom. Made me feel quite sick.

But theres no chance of them coming back out again?

I would have thought it quite possible for many inverts to survive a hoover (dyson or otherwise) and then crawl out again.  That said for those that make it I am sure there are the same that dont ;)  Spiders are more resilient and longer lived than moths though!

Thats nothing compared to what happens when I vacuum my pond and I suck up frogs (unintentionally of course!) We are talking GROSS. I've known them to survive and end up inside but some havent been so...er lucky! Then OH has to come out and sort it. Cant even bare to think of it........ yeuchhhhh!
