So now parents can buy yukky sliced bread (lots of it is so full of rubbish) without crusts for those poor hard done by children who won't eat them. How pathetic.
Might as well sell pre-chewed food...............save them doing anything.

I wonder............anybody planning to buy it ?. Will it be more expensive than bread with crusts on ?. Is there such a thing as sliced bread with real crusty crusts anyway ?.

Its the same as why are 'crusty rolls' are no longer crusty? even a french stick isnt that crusty anymore :( i love a really crusty roll the ones that you have to hoover your lap after eating :D

I have never liked eating crusts although I must admit I'm not a fan of bread full stop.  I would not pay £1.00 for a load though.  Really strange as the only bread that I like is the cheap Spanish bread that you can only buy over there :d

We always have Warbatons or No crust bred and its £1.00 every time.
I HAD to buy  Tescos own bread on Saturday (it was all they had in) and my son
asked me never to buy it again its awful.

You lucky lot, cost of an average loaf here is about£1.40....If we want a nice granary or similar then add another 10/20p:rolleyes:

How much?? Crikey, I can get a fabulous large crusty loaf, baked on the shop premises, for less than 80p.

I bet it's enough to make you wish you lived on the cold wet mainland ;)

My mum used to buy No Frills bread from Kwik Save at 7p a loaf, the most awful bread I have ever tasted.  I love bread ,especially warm.

My only 'good mother' trait is that I make our bread (well, the breadmaker does).  At least I then know what's going into it :-)

I buy ours fresh too and its 76p for a huge tin loaf lovely for toast dripping in butter!! :D :D

OOh yes there would be a lot to be said for living on the mainland...Doesn't 'the grass always grow greener on the other side'. :rolleyes:

Asda are doing 2 loaves of Kingsmill no crust for £1 for 2 loaves, so we tried it.

I don't eat a lot of bread but have you noticed that the top half with the rounded crust tastes better than the bottom half with the square crust??  Don't know why but it just does.  If you could buy bread with just the round top crust on I'd buy it!

I think that sainsburrys own sliced bread cook in the bakery is deffianlty the best, its the only bread that i will eat

Sliced bread's only good for making toasted sandwiches with in my family! For actual eating it's got to be a proper loaf that you cut yourself.
