A few weeks ago my gorgeous dog went to a pet sitter who advertises locally for a one night stay and came back with food poisoning she was really ill and had to spend 5 days on a drip in hospital.  I am now conducting a desperate search to find a new reliable pet sitter in or around North London, Barnet, Potters Barr, Hatfield, Enfield, St Albans way but I keep on drawing blanks, I must have contacted over 15 different places now.
I wonder can anybody help at all or recommend somebody to me I would be eternally grateful.  I am looking for a home from home place where our labrador can stay and be well cared for with a nice house and garden and preferably no more than one other dog at a time.

My vet practise, which is in Potters Bar has three veterinary nurses who do a home sitting service in your home. I will be using them in November, for a long week-end so can't give personal experience yet but I have known two of them who have been at the practise for four years so I am hoping that it will be Ok. I would be interested to know how you get on as I am in Totteridge and would like to have a reputable person to call on.
