Does anyone know of any obedience or agility classes in the vacinity of Bury, Bolton, Rochdale area? I was hoping to start showing my 6 month golden retriever, but have had him checked over today & found he's got an underbite, so doesn't meet the breed standard, which requires an overbite. I'm gutted as I was really looking forward to getting into showing, but I'd still like to do something with my dog, so thought about obedience & agility. Any help or advice gratefuly received. Thank you.

www.obedienceuk.com lists training classes, he is too young for agility yet - I personally wouldn't start agility with a Golden till he is 16 months old at least ....
His mouth may still change - have you discussed with his breeder?

Thanks. Yes I did ask if his bite could change but she said it's very unlikely. I think I'll list it as a separate topic to see what other people say.

You can start agility training at any age :)  He can learn commands and contacts, running through wings and tunnels and learn left and right etc just now without jumping of course.
