my dog is producing milk but i notice the the end two nearest to her vagina are about tennis ball size wher as the ones nearest to her ribs are small

Is this normal?

The back two teats fill up with the most milk, so yes, perfectly normal and the pups will all have a good tussle to get to them first. :-)

Depends if they are hard and hot it could also be mastitis which needs
Vet's treatment

I must add, before you go rushing your lactating bitch to the vet every 2 hours, her breasts will feel quite hard just before feeding time as they will be full of milk, but they should go soft again when the puppies have emptied them.
