It was brought to my attention recently that there is a move afoot to get electric dog collars and their like banned. On doing some research I came across a Hansard entry on the Goverment site mentioning that a petition had been handed in regarding this on 2nd July.

Does anyone know any more than this or if it has been discussed further?

PLEASE NOTE - this is a genuine question and I would like to know what is going on so PLEASE DO NOT give your opinions on these collars as it would no doubt lead to this thread being locked/deleted before I get chance to read the answers.

TIA
Christine

Hi Lara, thanks for the link but that only covers last year. This is something that is going on at the moment - possibly connected with the new Animal Welfare bill
