Hi Guys

A friend of mine wants to re-home a ckc spaniel, preferably under five. Do any of you know any rescue organisations that might be able to help him out. He lives in Kent, he works part time but is prepared to put the dog into day care or employ a pet sitter/dog walker.

Any advice on where to start looking would be greatly appreciated

A friend of mine was looking to take on a rescue cavalier but the list was so long that they decided in the end to buy a puppy. Thanks for the number, i will pass it onto my friend. Sorry, my post might have been mis-leading, he doesn't want to re-home an existing dog, he wants to take on a rescue ckc spaniel.

The only dogs that usually go into Cavalier rescue are older ones(well Mrs Pagan told me this)often being dumped ex puppy farm breeding stock or when an elderly owner passes away, so getting a younger than 5 rescue might prove difficult

A local elderly lady who showed a pet cavalier at our local shows passed away & nearly eveyone who shows at these shows was concerned about her little black & tan bitch, the family rehomed her privately into a very similar home a single older lady who had been looking for a slightly older cavalier as soon as they knew that her mum wouldn't recover, the little girl settled in straightaway(she was a little sweetie & I would have offered a safe haven forwever home if needed)& the family get regular updates. The new owner had been waiting for 18 months !
