Hi,
I think it is getting more common. I have see puppies and kittens left in plastic bags for the bin men in Spain. It is very upseting. Last time we were in Spain, I noticed a couple carrying a most beautiful marked huskie puppy, I stopped to speak to them to find out that they had rescued a litter from a bin and had taken the litter to a vets. who had to p.t.s. the others but, they managed to save this one it had had mange, worms, ect;cost them a fortune in vets bills. They had emigrated there from England.
You can't even say they were not pedigrees and a lovely specimen at that.
It is a pity that getting them spayed was not cheap enough for all. It would stop the terrible pain and agony for the little mites.
Can you imagine the agro, I gave my hubby, when I seen my breed of dog in a pet shop, in a small cage, chewing the bars, in the 100.deg heat. Being told, I could not buy it, what would I do with it, I was so upset, I had NO logic
