any surjestions welcome.only don,t tell me to keep him out of the sun. I do try to but on holiday recentlyat caravan .He loves any water sea included in it with the kids sitting on the canoe searching for crabs etc..He,s only young and he and i love showing and he,s doing very well ,but first and formost i love my dog and can,t deny him that paticular pleasure. So at the moment his noticably  bleached which being liver and white dos,nt help. Can i do anything to help his coat? or am i to late?....cheers

Only wait for his new coat to come through, I'm afraid. :(

Maybe next year get him wearing a jacket to protect most of his coat from the sun.  I agree that a good dog life is more important that the showring! ;)

how important is colour in your breed? IMO dogs should lead normal lives and being sun bleached should no worry a decent judge

yep..too late until new coat comes through but next year [ or even if we have a 'nice' autumn] get some mink oil spray and just well spray the dark patches, it washes out perfectly and acts as a total sunblock on the dark coat!...i have found the best one to be Doreen Paige

Plush puppy dp a product that helps keep the sun off the dog and stops bleaching aswell.  No good for this year really but worth thinking about for next year
