Hi All,

Could anyone recommend a brush to use on a short haired GSD.  I brush Jack everyday and get loads of hair off him, then i'll go up to give him a cuddle a bit later and i'm covered:rolleyes:

Thanks for the link to that website, very helpful! One question does the shedding rake do the same job as the blade?

Hi
I always used at least 2 different brushes/grooming tools on our gsd when she was with us.firstly a slicker brush was a must to get all that undercoat out. a detangling comb, and a blade, i think it is called a shedding blade :confused: I can't remember off the top of my head, but all these can be brought from PAH. the coat is probably the top coat that is coming off on you, but the shedding blade will help to reduce this.

When grooming FIL's GSD, I find a rake by far the most useful for getting the dead coat out. I see the link given on grooming by JG agrees, and also shows a picture.
