had a email last night that my puppy in sweden fail his rabies blood.it should read 0,5 but his was 0.3,so he will not be here in march could be late spring.

i just wander how many dogs do fail the blood test in the uk,
beacuse all the one that i know of have pass in the uk but i do know that he had his first vacc at 8 week in sweden,

there not a thing i can do,
mum use to say that whose who wait good thing will come to them in the end,

so i am going back to see him in dec at the stockholm show.

Aw Teri - patience is a virtue as they say!  And your mum was right - good things do come to those who wait.  Sorry to hear this though I know you were very keen to get him here - at least it may not be too much longer than originally planned and have fun in December.

did you decide on a pet name in the end?

Sam do you have experience with sending dogs abroad for them to be returned at a later date?
- By Moonmaiden Date 01.09.06 09:28 UTC
You can have the dog revax & then tested 28 days later again or revax & retested at any time or a mixture of both You don't have to revax & wait 28 days it only puts back the PP by the time it takes to get a positive test

Hi Terri

Pardo failed his first time round in this country and someone who is due to import a bitch from Spain has also had the same thing happen.  Actually from what I'm hearing it is quite common

Apparently about 6% of animals fail the first titre test, and the proportion is roughly the same (give or take half a percent) worldwide.
