i think my dog has got nettle stings on her paws, i think! i didnt know they could get them on the paws. Is there anything i can do to help her? thanks

Rub the pads with Dock leaves - it's the best remedy. They always grow near nettles.

I sympathise with her, I managed to get a good stinging myself this afternoon :-( hurt like hell at the time, but has subsided now.

In answer to your question, Piriton is the best thing you can give to a dog when stung by nettles. Their nose and paws are both prone to be stung so watch out for that.

You could try an antihistamine like piriton in a doggy dose. That should reduce the stinging and itching.

try giving him a childs dosage of benadril that should settle down the sting :)

thanks for the replys! her paws are fine now, she was acting quite strange when she got stung but settled down after a while, but i will definatly remember them if it happens again! thanks

My dog used to get it terribly - we used to call it prickle feet and she would scuff her pads on the ground to try and ease the itching. Bless her, she's gone now, so this post brought up a lovely memory that made me smile
