i have a litter of 5 1/2 week old puppies who have servere diarrhoea, they are happy in them selves and very playful. i have phoned the vet and he has told me to cut down to 2 meals a day and use just biscuits no meat he does not seem to worried.
just wanted to ask should i still let them feed off mum (the vet didnt mention and now i cant get hold of him) also any other advice on what it could be.

Have you wormed them and could it be traced back to that??

yes i wormed them wednesday with panacur i also did them at 3 weeks they didnt seem to have a problem

I think, therein lies the answer! Go look at the Breeding pages and read the thread about worming whilst pregnant...it has some ideas in it...hope that helps and everything is ok!! All the best, Dawn X *sorry can't do the link thingies!
Personally I would give them chicken and rice that soon solidifies any diarrhoea, don't see the point in just biscuits, where is the goodness? Rice is the best binding food around with chicken or white fish, that will get them sorted quick enough, still let them feed off mum too.

Don't forget to give them a little live yoghurt to get the good bacteria back in their gut if they've had diarrhoea.

I don't feed my dogs biscuits as that's the only thing that does give them the runs
