just filled in the forms for pups and my first show. she will be 6 months and two weeks old so very very nervous but excited as well. anyone got any tips on how to cope with it all?? and what to take.
Good luck! :)
I could do with some tips too - my pup is entered in his first 2 shows (one open and one champ). First one on September the 16th! Going to a companion show tomorrow to practice... both me and the pup need it

Treats, poo bags, brush. Possibly crate if she's used to one, so she has a den to rest in. Which show are you going to? If anyone on here's going to the same one I'm sure they'll be glad to come over and say hi. Make sure you both enjoy the show, don't worry or get upset if she acts up, she's only a baby, and you want to make sure her first show experience is a positive one. Good luck!

Is it an open show or a champ show?

Write a list and tick everything off as you put it in the car. Firstly, put yourself in your dogs shoes and write down everything you would need to keep you happy if you were your dog. Then go through the preparation process and write down everything you will need to prepare your dog for the ring. Then think of everything you will need for yourself, such as a folding chair. Don't forget dog towels and poo bags.
thanks for all the advice, must say i had thought of a brush, toy, poo bags, but not a towel or chair or her crate (although she is far to nosey to spend anytime in it).
we are entered in the minor puppy class at the leonberger club championship, so not starting small!! of to watch a companion show next sunday but she is far to young to have a go, also starting ringcraft this tuesday and off to a one day showwing workshop in horsham begining of october so hopfully gain so tips there.
entered on line and have made a boob on the form, put exh instead of the breeder down, have e-mailed both fossedata and the lcgb secretary to try and rectify this mistake, everything is so new
