Morning All :)

I need to come up with a subject for a photography challenge/competition. Subjects in the past have been things like 'movement', 'soft light', 'eyes', 'peace & quiet' etc. I've been thinking baout it since Wednesday and I've drawn a complete blank so far :rolleyes:

how about modern landscapes? in the right light factories can look stunning :)

or fungi - you can get some lovely pictures of fungi of kinds.

How about DREAM's , you could take photo's of fluffy clouds making all different shapes.

WATER, take some great shots of streams, lakes, waterfalls, rain

Or if you are really brave FIRE, ask permission to follow a fire crew and snap from a good distance some of the fires they tackle.

Or as you have already done eyes, how about SMILES.

How about shadows. Could cover a multitude.;-)

This will only work for good old 35mm but one of my favorite assignments was using infrared film. It's so fascinating and fun to see the results - maybe you could call it 'hidden warmth' ;-).

Something else I would enjoy is macro photography to try to get people to look at things from a different perspective.

Of course there's also 'mad women with hairy dogs', you could use firemen as bait. I can think of a couple of subjects already :-D

Lori, I think you've done it. Much as I love the fireman idea (and man, do I love the idea ;) ), I can't see it appealing to some of the men who will be partaking in the challenge ;) I  do, however, like the idea of seeing people's take on a 'different perspective' so that's what it is going to be :)

How about the good old weather/seasons? I've seen some fantastic weather pics, reports of local news??(then Liv and Missie could chase all the news hounds?? as long as they are male of course) local history theme, botanical, A bugs life?? snapping ants lol, or maybe even fantasy photographs...like a castle in mist or I've even seen one of Robert the Bruce, with his flag/penant, against a sunset that looked ethereal!!historical, theatrical, maritime, well I could keep going for years, but I wont!!!
