Can anyone advise me what is the best food for prevention of bloat. My Leo had this a week ago and I'm now feeding tinned chappie as he had a inflamed tummy as well as the bloat, his tummy didn't twist as we caught it in time.
My vet is looking into foods as I am and all opinons would be welcome.

i don't think there is a food thats a prevention for bloat. My leo had gastric torsion last year, its an awful thing to happen. Best I can advise is complete rest before and after meals. no exercise for 2 hours before or after.

And several small meals a day rather than one or two larger ones.

I do this any way but I do find the food thing seems to crop up all the time ie:raw or dry. What do you feed yours on???

both of mine are on raw, two small meals per day :)
