This is a long shot but maybe someone can help (and I apologise to Admin if this is on the wrong board).
On 1st January this year I went to Coventry Ladies open show at Ryton and whilst I was in the ring, someone knocked into my parked car causing damage to the rear wing and just drove away. However, a very kind lady left us a note with her name and details saying she witnessed the incident. We've passed the details onto our insurers but they have been unable to contact the witness and the "guilty" driver has denied all knowledge of the accident so we will lose our no claims.
Unfortunately, we have lost the lady's details so I am wondering if anyone on here may have been at the show and may remember who the witness may be.
I realise it's a long time ago and it's unlikely anyone can help but thanks anyway.

Can you not get the witness's details back from the insurance company and try tracing her yourself, I can't help wondering how hard they tried. If they say they have lost the details that may open up the prospect of obliging them to to pay up without loss of your no claims as it is they that have scuppered your claim.
I may a catalogue from that show, do you want me to see if I still have it? It may take a bit of work, but you could scan through all the entries and you may remember who it is?

Thanks for the offer universalady, but I doubt I'd be able to remember her name. Probably the best bet would be to contact our insurance company and see if they can give us the witnesses details. Wasn't a good start to the year.

Just let me know if you need it. Are you going to the Connextion on Bank Holiday Monday? There'll definately be more room for parking........it'll be in two halls!
