A while ago on here someone posted about a vets in Southampton that did hipscoring without anesthetic (i think).  I have searched and cant find the post.

Can anyone help with the post or the contact details of this vet?

Many thanks

There is a lady who does hip scoring with sedation and she is very good.  I don't have the details with me at the moment but will see if I can find them and will PM you (although someone may do that in the meantime!)

I did a search and don't think the details were actually listed just pm'd to people!

All the best,

Rach

Hi everyone, I took on a GSD without knowledge of her hips and it would put my mind at rest to have her hips scored.  Is it possible to forward any helpful information on to me too please?  I would also prefer it if there was no GA used.

Thanks!

This is the 5 month old bitch I presume ? You can't get a dog hip scored in the UK until they are 12 months old

Yes it's my lass who's coming up for 6 months soon.  I realise that they have to be 12-18 months for this procedure but I wanted to approach any veterinarian well in advance of this timescale so that I can budget for the scoring financially and get it done on course :)
